About The Club

Founded in 1948, Wayside Celtic Football Club has been at the heart of the Kilternan community for generations. From early days in Stepaside to decades at Golden Ball and now our home in Jackson Park, the club has grown while staying true to its roots.

Our identity is shaped by local heritage, reflected in our crest inspired by the iconic Ballycorus lead mines tower. Proudly 100% amateur, Wayside Celtic fields three senior teams in the Leinster Senior League and over 20 junior teams in the DDSL, supported by a thriving academy and dedicated volunteers.

On the pitch, the club has enjoyed significant success, including multiple Leinster Senior League titles, FAI Intermediate Cups, and a historic Leinster Junior Cup win. We’ve also competed strongly against League of Ireland opposition and continue to make an impact in national competitions.

With a strong community spirit and a growing pipeline of talent, Wayside Celtic remains committed to developing players and representing Kilternan with pride.
